Laws and Regulations

The operation of Digiroad is based on the Road and Street Network Information System Act (991/2003), which entered into force on 1 January 2004. The purpose of the Act is to ensure appropriate maintenance practices and information service operations for national road and street network data, and thereby to guarantee the availability of up-to-date information to users. An amendment to the Act, which resulted from the Finnish transport administration reform, entered into force on 1 January 2010.
