Digiroad data is delivered to customers based on a licence agreement signed between the customer and the Finnish Transport Agency. The agreement describes, for example, the data objects, areal coverage, delivery format and update frequency of the service. In addition, the agreement specifies the licence fees payable for the delivery and use of Digiroad data. For more information on the licence agreement, see Ordering.

The information service is managed by the operator of Digiroad, which extracts data from the Digiroad database and delivers it to the customer in accordance with the licence agreement. The data is delivered to the customer as transfer files for the agreed use and for a limited time period.

Release Schedule

Digiroad data is being gathered and entered into the system continuously. Under the Digiroad release schedule, new data is published four times a year, in January, April, July and October. The new data is delivered to customers no more than four times a year.
